tiny

"you're so tiny!"
  yes, but haven't you noticed the heavy bags my eyes carry beneath them?
"i wish i had your body!"
  would you, if you knew the hollows and burden it casts?
"you're so small!"
 see how my ribs and hips tent my shirt. how my shorts hang.
 i still wear clothes from when i was eight.
"you couldn't gain weight if you tried!"
 many become that which they have no intention of becoming.
 such is the tangled web of good and evil.
"how do you stay so slim?"
let me ask you.
"how else does one torture the soul?"
by shredding it's strings to a tune so foul, scraping the sides bloodied pink.
by listening to the cacophonous wretching that bloats your heart
and empties you out.
how else can you erase yourself?
"tiny" is but a shade lighter.
